Leadership
Brian Blaser, President & Chief Executive Officer of QuidelOrtho Corporation, designs the company’s long-term vision and strategy.
Brian Blaser has more than 25 years of senior leadership experience in the in-vitro diagnostics industry, including 15 years at Abbott Laboratories where he oversaw the company's global diagnostics organization, including its core laboratory, point of care, rapid diagnostics and molecular diagnostics businesses. Over his career, he has held key leadership positions in operations, finance, and engineering at Johnson & Johnson, Eastman Kodak, and General Motors. Mr. Blaser currently serves on the board of directors for Quanterix and Meridian Biosciences, and as senior advisor to McKinsey. He is Chair of the University of Dayton School of Engineering Advisory Council, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Cristo-Rey St. Martin College Prep. He is a former member of the board of the Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed). Mr. Blaser holds a master's degree in business administration from the Rochester Institute of Technology and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering technology from the University of Dayton.
Chief Human Resources Officer
Lee Bowman, Chief Human Resources Officer, oversees strategies across compensation, benefits, recruitment, talent management, training and employee development.
Lee Bowman brings over 25 years of leadership experience in human resources across various industries. His career is marked by a strong commitment to talent management and fostering inclusive, dynamic workplace cultures. Before joining QuidelOrtho, Mr. Bowman served as Senior Vice President and Chief People Officer at RadNet, where he led transformative initiatives in workforce engagement, diversity and inclusion, and leadership development. His expertise was further honed through significant roles at Edwards Lifesciences, Levi Strauss & Co., and Target, where he spearheaded high-impact HR strategies that prioritized team development and organizational growth. Mr. Bowman holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Towson University and an MBA from San Diego State University.
Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer
Robert Bujarski, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of QuidelOrtho Corporation, leads the implementation of the company’s strategy and strengthens operational performance.
Mr. Bujarski has two decades of enterprise experience spanning the full spectrum of operational, commercial, and legal functions within the diagnostics sector.
Mr. Bujarski was the Chief Operating Officer of Quidel Corp. from September 2020 to May 2022, where he architected expansions of the company’s scope and scale and facilitated the seamless integration of Quidel Corp. and Ortho Clinical Diagnostics.
Previously, Mr. Bujarski was Quidel’s Senior Vice President for North America Commercial Operations from July 2019 to September 2020, Senior Vice President, General Counsel from March 2007 to September 2020, Senior Vice President, Business Development from August 2009 to July 2019, and General Counsel and Vice President from July 2005 to March 2007. Prior to joining Quidel, Mr. Bujarski was an associate attorney with the law firm of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP in its transactions practice group from October 2001 to July 2005.
Mr. Bujarski received his B.A. and J.D. from the University of Arizona.
Chief Financial Officer
Joseph Busky, Chief Financial Officer of QuidelOrtho Corporation, manages global finance and drives value creation to enable growth and long-term value.
Mr. Busky has more than 30 years of experience in corporate and operational finance for large, global companies across diagnostics, medical devices, telecom, and marketing services. He has worked both for publicly owned companies and within private equity-owned settings.
Prior to joining Ortho Clinical Diagnostics in July 2020, Mr. Busky served as Chief Financial Officer for Vyaire Medical, Inc., a global medical device company. Before Vyaire, Mr. Busky was Chief Financial Officer of FDH Velocitel, an engineering services company in the telecom space. Previously, he served seven years as Chief Financial Officer of InnerWorkings, Inc., a global marketing services firm with operations in 33 countries, and held corporate and divisional finance roles for a combined 11 years at Siemens Medical Solutions Diagnostics/Dade Behring Holdings, Inc., Bayer Diagnostics and Diagnostic Products Corporation, including serving as Chief Accounting Officer at Dade Behring.
Mr. Busky holds an MBA with a finance concentration, as well as a BBA in Accounting, from Loyola University in Baltimore. He also has a CPA certification in Maryland.
Senior Vice President, General Counsel & Secretary
Michelle Hodges, Senior Vice President, General Counsel & Secretary of QuidelOrtho Corporation, heads the legal and compliance group, supporting the company’s global business, and oversees all legal and governance matters affecting the company.
Ms. Hodges has over two decades of professional legal experience, specializing in advising public and private companies on mergers and acquisitions, strategic investments, securities law, and corporate governance.
Ms. Hodges served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel of Quidel Corp. from December 2020 to May 2022. Prior to joining Quidel, Ms. Hodges was a corporate lawyer with the international law firm of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP from December 1996 through November 2020, serving as a Partner of the firm for 16 years.
Ms. Hodges earned her J.D. and MBA from the University of California, Los Angeles. She earned a Bachelor of Horticultural Science degree with honors from Massey University, New Zealand.
Executive Vice President & Chief Commercial Officer
Michael Iskra, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer of QuidelOrtho Corporation, leads the development and implementation of the company’s integrated global commercial strategy for accelerated growth.
Mr. Iskra has over a decade of global executive leadership experience and more than 30 years in the diagnostics and healthcare products and services industries. He holds significant knowledge and expertise across strategy, sales, marketing, operations and general management.
Mr. Iskra was the Executive Vice President of Commercial Excellence and Strategy at Ortho Clinical Diagnostics from 2020 to 2022. Before assuming the role, Mr. Iskra was Ortho’s President of North America commercial operations, leading the company’s North America customer-facing organization, spanning sales, service and regional marketing, as well as regional commercial support functions.
Prior to Ortho, he served as Senior Vice President of Business Development for Healthways. He previously was the CEO of Simplex Healthcare, general manager of CCS Medical and spent 14 years at Bayer/Siemens Diagnostics in a variety of roles, including head of marketing in Europe, with increasing responsibility.
Mr. Iskra holds a B.A. in International Relations from the University of Delaware. He also completed the Executive Management Program at the University of Notre Dame, Mendoza College of Business, and the General Management Leadership Program at Columbia Business School.
Executive Vice President of Research & Development & Chief Technology Officer
Jonathan Siegrist, Ph.D. Executive Vice President of Research & Development & Chief Technology Officer, leads the company’s global R&D strategy, driving innovation and advancing next-generation diagnostic solutions.
Jonathan brings over 15 years of leadership experience in the biotechnology and diagnostics industries, with a focus on molecular diagnostics, microfluidic platforms, and biomedical engineering. Before joining QuidelOrtho, Jonathan served as Chief Technology Officer and Head of Assay Research and Development at Cepheid.
Jonathan holds a PhD and Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of California, Irvine and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles. He has been recognized for his ability to lead complex, multidisciplinary teams while fostering a culture of creativity and innovation.
