Ortho Clinical Diagnostics (Nasdaq: OCDX), one of the world’s largest pure-play IVD companies dedicated to transforming patient care, announced today it has been recognized with a People’s Choice Stevie® Award for Customer Service Department of the Year – Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals, and Related Industries following nearly a month of online voting by the worldwide public.
The People’s Choice Stevie Awards recognize outstanding performance in the workplace and receive more than 10,000 entries each year from organizations in more than 60 nations.
“We take great measures to ensure the customer is at the center of all we do, at all levels of the organization,” said Karen Taylor, vice president, Customer Experience and Ortho Care™, Ortho Clinical Diagnostics. “This laser focus on our customers and their patients reinforces our mission to improve and save lives through diagnostics and encourages teammates across the world to innovate and come together for the greater good of the world.

Last month, Ortho announced it was recognized with a global Silver Stevie Award for Sales & Customer Service in the Customer Service Department of the Year—Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals, and Related Industries—Ortho’s fifth Stevie. In 2020, IMV ServiceTrak™ ranked Ortho Care No. 1 in the U.S. for overall service for a fifth straight year.
Despite many obstacles that impacted labs during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Ortho Care team developed creative and effective solutions to deliver consistent and uninterrupted support including:
- Eliminated the need for some on-site service visits by leveraging e-Connectivity® remote diagnostics designed to resolve 2/3 of all analyzer inquiries by phone;
- Developed and implemented new virtual analyzer training model allowing more than 900 customers the flexibility to complete required training remotely; and
- Leveraged Ortho’s novel Smart Service remote diagnostics, giving field engineers analyzer intelligence in the palm of their hands, leading to faster problem resolution and higher analyzer uptime.
Ortho will be recognized during a virtual awards ceremony on April 14.
